The Uechi Karate School, located at 801 Ely Street in Allegan, Michigan,
is on the "SE" corner of Ely Street and Brookside Drive across from the Allegan Christian Center. The dojo will
be found in the basement of the instructor's home, a red-brick ranch-style house. Please note that, despite the address
of 801 Ely Street, the driveway of the home is located off of Brookside Drive.
Coming from Cedar Street (M-40/M-89) in downtown Allegan

- From the foot of Ely Street hill, proceed 0.8 miles "south" on Ely Street away from downtown Allegan.
- Look for the Allegan Christian Center on the "west" (right) side of the street.
- Directly across from the church, turn "east" (left) onto Brookside Drive.
- Immediately turn into the first driveway on the right.
Coming into Allegan from the south (Gobles, Bloomingdale, Pullman,
Paw Paw, etc.) on M-40
- Take M-40 north to the Allegan City Limits
- Continue 0.25 miles north on M-40 to Thomas Street.
- Turn west (left) onto Thomas Street.
- Proceed approximately 0.4 miles straight west on Thomas Street until
it "T's" into Ely Street.
- Turn "north" (right) onto Ely Street as if heading toward downtown Allegan.
- Proceed a mere 0.1 of a mile "north" on Ely Street. The dojo is located
in the 7th home on the "east" (right) side of the street.

- Watch for the Allegan Christian Center on the "west" (left) side of the street.
- Directly across from the church, turn "east" (right) onto Brookside Drive.
- Immediately turn into the first driveway on the right.
Coming into Allegan from the north (Hamilton, Fennville, Holland,
etc.) on M-40/M-89
- Take M-40/M-89 southeast to the Allegan City Limits.
- Continue 0.1 miles on M-40/M-89 past Subway & Sunset Lanes bowling alley to Sherman Street. (The
highway curves so that you are actually travelling straight east at this point.)
- Turn south (right) onto Sherman Street.
(This intersection is currently [August 2020] unmarked by a street sign.)
- In front of you, you will see "The Grocery Outlet Store." Staying
on Sherman Street, curve to the right
(but do not actually TURN right onto 115th Avenue).
- Curve to the left on Sherman Street.
- Once the road stops curving, proceed approximately 0.5 miles straight
south on Sherman Street until it "T's" into Sunset Drive.
- Turn east (left) onto Sunset Drive.
- Proceed 0.1 mile east on Sunset Drive until it "T's" into Ely Street.
- From the corner of Sunset Drive and Ely Street turn "south" (right) onto
Ely Street as if heading away from downtown Allegan.

- Proceed a mere 50 yards. You will see the Allegan Christian Center
on the "west" (right) of the street.
- Directly across from the church, turn "east" (left) onto Brookside Drive.
- Immediately turn into the first driveway on the right.

After parking in the driveway, follow the stone path in the back of the house down to the walk-in basement.
Please come in, remove your shoes, and make your presence known.
